Rydges Kensington London was originally built in two bursts in the 1850 and the 1860’s by the same developer “One Aldin” and today many of the period features are still maintained. The hotel is located in one of the most exclusive areas of London. Ideally situated near Hyde Park, Earls Court & Olympia exhibition centre’s, Royal Albert Hall, Harrods, Kensington High Street, Natural History and Science museums and only 75 metres from Gloucester Road tube station. This boutique style hotel offers guests the benefits of modern facilities including the new Rydges Dream Beds, air-conditioning and wireless internet throughout.
The hotel is passionate about its principles - namely a fresh, natural, customer focused culture that offers value for money, friendly service and genuine hospitality. With an obsession for mobile management and service by people who absolutely sparkle with spontaneity and initiative, the hotel is committed to listening to its customers and delivering quality hospitality to every individual, every time.
Current Projects and Developments
Albwardy Investments have appointed Trevillion Interiors as project managers and interior designers for a multi million pound refurbishment which is due to commence in early in 2011.
In keeping with the buildings traditional bone structure & classical proportions Trevillion Interiors have prepared a timeless interior design solution incorporating all the valuable amenities expected of a four star hotel. Bespoke case goods cleverly designed to conceal the guest room facilities and an elegant use of polished timber and “cricket ball” stitched faux hide gives a touch of the “Quintessentially English” approach so suited to the location.
State of the art technology will allow a responsible approach to water and energy efficiency without compromise to the guest experience.
A neutral based colour palette with strong colour embellishments will define the furnishing scheme throughout the hotel to deliver a seamless concept from public areas to guest rooms. The varying intensity of colour from one space to another will identify the area and deliver the unique “feel” & atmosphere appropriate to its use.
