It is an exclusive residential enclave where one can really appreciate the meaning of quality living and ultimate privacy.

The 85 villas have all been designed to complement their beautiful surroundings, with each boasting stunning views and vistas, and well-established gardens. The two, three and four bedroom villas are all unique, boasting individual styles and architectural nuances that set them apart from the others. Each come with high ceilings, plenty of natural sunlight, maid’s rooms, with many housing extensive roof terraces.

Comfort and convenience are also key features of living at Desert Palm. New residents have the option to customise their villas interior upon approval by choosing their own colour palettes, before moving in. Once in residence the onsite property management team will ensure that the property is constantly maintained, while the 24-hour security team will provide peace of mind.

The 30-metre infinity pool, children’s waterfall pool and reading room are available exclusively to all residents and their guests at all times, and they are manned by lifeguards throughout the day. There are also 4 floodlit tennis courts, a floodlit basketball court, air conditioned squash court, 5-a-side football pitch, table tennis table and volleyball court to help keep one active, not to mention endless jogging routes around the estate.

Children are in their element at Desert Palm. Villa owners mostly have one or more dogs as there is nowhere like it for taking them for long walks without any traffic or other encumbrances.

Villa owners can take advantage of the boutique Desert Palm Resort facilities within the estate including their award winning restaurants, welcoming bar, stunning terraces and beautiful Lime Spa, whilst residents receive special rates on all their spending. There’s also the option to buy a resident membership which allows limitless access to the resort’s gym and pool areas if one feels like it.

While residents are one of the main focuses at Desert Palm, they share this stunning development with over 300 horses, which make for a unique living environment.

The Desert Palm Riding School is at the heart of this equine haven and provides stabling for 90 horses. The air-conditioned stables are some of the best in the country, and are maintained by a loyal army of grooms and instructors.

Each day the 7 riding arenas with full show jumping and dressage facilities come alive with activity. Five full time and three part time instructors provide lessons for those of all standards, with classes starting for children from five years old. Lessons and livery are available for residents and non-residents alike. Experienced riders also have the opportunity to take in the stunning views of Desert Palm through a variety of dedicated bridleways. Competitions and events are held every Friday in the winter months and attract the region’s leading riders.

Group, private and semi-private lessons for adults and children of varying ability may register with the riding school to avail a place within the daily lesson plan.

The main heart of the estate is it’s world-class polo club. Quite simply, without polo there would be no Desert Palm, given that the setup was the brainchild of owner Ali Albwardy who wanted to create a home for his Dubai Polo Team operations. The result is one of the finest members clubs anywhere in the world, which in turn has been rewarded by the Dubai Polo Team regularly winning both the major high goal tournaments in the UK, the Queen’s Cup and the Gold Cup, which they have done on separate occasions with either Ali himself or one of his two sons captaining the team.

With over 250 polo ponies stabled, trained and played at Desert Palm during the year it is huge operation that includes 4 manicured grass fields, stick and ball areas, and training facilities. Several polo professionals are on hand during the season (October – May) to provide lessons and instruction for beginners through to advanced players, while ‘chukkas’ are organized 6 days a week for members, residents and guests alike throughout the season.

Desert Palm is the home of the Cartier International Polo Challenge and the Nations Cup. These annual events have put Desert Palm on the map as one of the leading destinations in the global polo circuit. Many of the international polo players including the world’s number one and two, Adolfo Cambiaso and Pablo MacDonough and USA’s number one player Nick Roldan, participate in these prestigious events drawing a lot of interest from local and international enthusiasts of the game.
